DON’T MISS THESE LIVE MUSIC EVENTS IN THE HARRISON RIVER VALLEY

There’s nothing like listening to toe-tapping live music to get you in a festive mood! In the upcoming weeks, we have a collection of events that feature spirited live music here in the Harrison River Valley. Give yourself the gift of music and bring some warmth to your winter by joining us at these events: 

NOVEMBER

November 18: 7-9pm. Steve Elliot’s Christmas for a King. The Gospel Inspirations Songs of Elvis Presley. Taking place at Agassiz United Church. Admission $25, contact Alison at 604-250-8533 or etransfer [email protected]

November 19: 5-7pm. Join us for the launch of Lights by the Lake! This event features live music by The Angelus Singers, a musical group with gorgeous a cappella vocals and eye-catching costumes. This vibrant event also features a pet parade, hot chocolate, Christmas Carols, Sasquatch Dancers, Airbrush Tattooos, Photos with Santa and Sasquatch and free skating on the Starlight Synthetic Skating Rink.

November 26: 7:30-9pm. April Verch and Cody Walters concert at Harrison Memorial Hall, presented by the Harrison Festival Society. You’ll want to get up and dance at this duo’s combination of lively banjo and fiddle, blended with their harmonious vocals! Tickets are $25.50 per adult, 12 & under FREE. Get your tickets here.

November 29: 7-9pm. Strong Bow & Wry at the Old Settler Pub. As part of “Tunes about Town”, presented by the Harrison Festival Society, musical duo Strong Bow & Wry deliver a blend of funk, rock, and blues with guitar, rich vocals and vibrant fiddle music. Head down and enjoy live music while you enjoy a tasty meal. 

DECEMBER

December 3 & 10: 3-7pm. Agassiz Winter Night Lights runs from Dec 1-31 in Agassiz’s Pioneer Park, with special events taking place the first two Saturdays in December! Enjoy a hot chocolate while you take in the lights and enjoy family activities, with live music both days. December 3 features Richard Tichelman and December 10 features Ryan McAllister

December 17, 5:30pm. The CP Holiday Train is back! It pulls into Agassiz (across from Agra Centre on Pioneer Avenue) on Saturday, December 17 on 5:30pm. Enjoy a lively concert from musical performers MacKenzie Porter & Virginia to Vegas from 5:45 – 6:15pm. 

In addition to these great events, take in regular live music every weekend at restaurants The Broken Whisk and Sossy’s Saloon in Agassiz!
