Indigenous Roots

The Harrison River Valley region is a collective of communities spanning Agassiz, Harrison Hot Springs, Harrison Mills, and all the communities in between. We share the land of the traditional territories of the Sts’ ailes, Seabird Island, Sq’ewá:lxw, Cheam, Xax’tsa, Leq’a:mel, Samahquam, Sq’ewlets, and Skatin First Nations. The history and stories run deep; each story, like its community, is unique. Learn these stories by experiencing what each community has to offer.

Explore the Ruby Creek Art Gallery, Chehalis Store, and Nations Creations Agassiz for Indigenous-made art and gifts. Explore our parks and trails at the Chehalis River Fishing Trail or Syéx̱w Chó:leqw Adventure Park for an interpretive mountain biking experience. Spend the night at our luxury accommodations, such as Sasquatch Crossing Eco Lodge, or our waterfront campgrounds, Cheam Fishing Village and Campground. Or, join us in Harrison Hot Springs for the annual Sasquatch Days event hosted by Sts’ailes, the Village of Harrison Hot Springs and Tourism Harrison.
