Lights by the Lake will return November 19, 2022. Our Village will light up our quaint lakeside in true Holiday fashion. As you stroll along Harrison’s promenade delight in the warm glow of Christmas lights and charming winter window paintings. Each business has decorated their store front with Holiday cheer. Christmas trees and old fashioned lamps grace the village square.

Is the Starlight Skating Rink Open?
The Starlight Skating Rink installation had begun with a Mid-November opening.
Where does the display start?
The displays will start on St. Alice Street and go to the Starlight Skating Rink- Public Boat Launch Area. Directional signage will encourage visitors to maintain the flow of traffic by going West to East along the paved promenade in front of the displays and looping back, East to West on the gravel path behind the displays.
What is the best time of day to go see the Lights?
The lights will turn on a dusk each day and turn off at 11 pm. Dusk at this time of year is typically between 5:00 – 5:30 pm.
When is the Lighting Ceremony?
The Lighting Ceremony will be on Saturday, November 19th, 2022.
Where are the washrooms?
Public Washroom Facilities are located at the Starlight Skating Rink and by the Civic Centre Plaza.
Hours: Starlight Skating Rink Public Restrooms will be available during operating hours.
The Civic Centre Plaza Washrooms are open until 5:00, 7 days a week.
Does the Lights on the Lake have a concession stand?
Yes, The Starlight Skating Rink offers a concession during operating hours.
You may also visit one of our many cafes and restaurants to enjoy the view of the Holiday display while you dine.
Is there live entertainment?
Yes, there will be live entertainment. Please check back for updates.
Are the lights and displays easy to access?
Yes. The walkways along the beach are paved and flat and there are 5 wheelchair ramps which are easily accessible to those with mobility issues.
Can we bring our dog?
Dogs on leash are welcome on all of Harrison’s trails and beach walkways. For your convenience, dog waste bags and receptacles are available throughout the Village and along the beach walkway.
Where is the Plaza?
The Plaza is a paved, open air gathering place that is located at the end of Hot Springs Road where it meets Esplanade Avenue at the beach.
What about Parking?
Parking in the Village of Harrison during the fall, winter and spring seasons is free (Mid-September – Mid-May). Larger vehicles and RV’s can use the overflow parking area on the corner of Hot Springs Road and Miami River Drive, only 340 meters from the Plaza.

What days can I go see the Lights by the Lake
Our displays are custom built and will be lit from dusk to 11:00 pm, 7 days a week until Sunday night of January 8th, 2023. The Lights by the Lake Holiday display lights up 2 km waterfront of Harrison Hot Springs along the promenade and compliments the many thousands of lights that are displayed each year by the Village, local businesses and residents.
Is there an outdoor skating rink in Harrison?

Can we just drive around and see the lights?
There are many lights throughout Harrison that can be seen from your vehicle, however, to experience the full effect of the Lights by the Lake displays that incorporate motion, being on the beach walkway provides a vantage point that is impossible to achieve from a vehicle.
