See (Apple TV Series, 2019 – 2022)

In this dystopian series, humans of the future have lost their sense of sight, and had to find new ways to survive. In 2019, actor Jason Momoa filmed several scenes in BC, including on traditional Sts’ailes First Nations territory and reserve lands in Harrison Mills, Kilby, and along the Chehalis River. The star, known for Game of Thrones and Aquaman, attended a ceremony held by Sts’ailes First Nations, which invited Momoa to participate in a traditional fish feast. Children proudly performed a Sasquatch Dance for him. It was reported he was a gracious guest who took a lot of time to talk to as many people as he could – meeting every elder, and signing autographs and taking photos with fans. He was gifted a ceremonial cedar hat. Fun fact: A ceremony for actor Robin Williams was also held by Stsl’ailes First Nations in 2005 when a scene for the movie “RV” was shot along the banks of the Chehalis River!

Cheam, Pioneer Avenue and a number of other locations in Agassiz became the setting for this FOX television series, created by the imaginative mind of celebrated American filmmaker M.
