Step into Spring in the Harrison River Valley

It’s a wondrous time of year: trees are budding and fresh spring growth is emerging from the sleepy winter soil. Meanwhile, up in the mountains, there’s still plenty of snow and opportunities for adventure, with the bonus of warm spring temperatures to make snowsports even more enjoyable! There is so much to see and do in the Harrison River Valley at this time of year, we’ve compiled a list of activities and events for you. Bring Spring into Your Home With Fresh Tulips

While we eagerly await the opening of this year’s Harrison Tulip Festival, in the meantime you can bring some spring into your home with vibrant Tulips and fragrant Hyacinths from the Onos Farms Flower Stand (5039 Lougheed Highway)! A 5-stem tulip bunch is only 5 bucks (3 bunches for $12) and a 5-stem hyacinth bunch is only 6 bucks (2 bunches for $10). Note: Bring cash as this is a serve-yourself stand. You can also find another Onos Farms Flower Stand in nearby Rosedale, at 11170A Gill Road.

Hop to These Fun Easter Events!

KILBY HISTORIC SITE: WHITE RABBIT EASTER WEEKEND: Saturday & Sunday, March 30 and 31, 11 am – 3 pm each day  (Rain or Shine!)
Join us down the rabbit hole for a Family Easter Weekend. The Children’s Egg Hunt takes place Saturday from 11am – 3pm only. You’ll enjoy the Mad Hatter’s Storytime, Find the Golden Egg, and Easter Wonderland activities both days. Learn more here.

HOMESTEAD CIDERY REOPENS EASTER WEEKEND: Saturday & Sunday, March 30 and 31, 12-5pm each day.
Visit Homead Cidery as they reopen on Easter Weekend, with the Chef’s Acre food truck on site with delicious menu items, plus an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids on Saturday! Stay tuned to their socials for more details coming soon.

Enjoy an Elegant Feast at Step Back in Time Dining

The next Step Back in Time dining event takes place March 23 at Rowena’s Inn on the River. If you’ve never experienced this dining event, trust us: you’ll want to! It’s a bucket-list event for foodies; a delightful evening out with the most divine dining! To start: Spring Asparagus Soup. To enjoy: Panzanella Salad, Roasted Chicken Supreme. Have a Ball at the Aprés Ski Party at Sasquatch Mountain Resort
