Skip the stress of cooking and dishes; instead, enjoy take-out or delivery this Valentine’s Day. Butter Chicken House and Village Pizzeria are great places to pick up a delicious meal for two. Or try other local favourites like Sushi Kitami Japanese Restaurant or Yukiya Sushi. For dessert, Cabin Fever Junction’s home style baking will win your heart (and tastebuds). Pick up your favourite treats for your valentine, or your whole family. 

DO IT YOURSELF CHARCUTERIE
Who doesn’t love charcuterie? Shop Farmhouse Natural Cheeses or Creekside Cheese + Creamery to build your own date-night charcuterie board.

SHOP LOCAL LOVE LOCAL 
Celebrate your community! Shop locally, save your receipts, and enter for a chance to win hundreds of dollars in prizes from local businesses.  Join the February Love Local ♥︎ Shop Local event, happening February 12 – 13 from 11am – 5pm in Pioneer Park, Agassiz. Admission is free, but you can show love to the Agassiz-Harrison Community Services Society Food Bank by bringing a non-perishable food item to donate. This event gives a chance to discover new businesses in the region, show pride for your community, spread the word about your favourite local products and services, and enter the raffle and photo contest! BIG EASY FUNK ENSEMBLE
The Harrison Festival Society presents the Big Easy Funk Ensemble in concert  on Saturday, February 26 at 7:30pm. Memorial Hall will be the venue for this rollicking good time, celebrating the incredible variety of music that has grown out of New Orleans. Doors open at 6. Masks and proof of double vaccination are mandatory. Purchase your tickets soon as the show is capped at 100 people to follow regional restrictions. Tickets are only $25.50 and you can purchase them here.
