Open House

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has been conducting agriculture research in Canada for 140 years. Agassiz Research and Development Centre is as old as the Department itself: established in 1886 under the Experimental Farm Station Act, and as such, we will be celebrating our 140th birthday this year!

This is a family friendly event featuring a kid’s zone, field tours, researcher presentations, science displays, arboretum tours, greenhouse access, and a field equipment display. We will also have cake and ice cream available, along with fresh blueberries from our farm.

Please note that this is not a dog friendly event. Attendees are encouraged to bring reuseable water bottles with them to refill at our refill stations.
