Event Details

Spend an exciting evening with Kilby’s bats! Bring a chair and prepare to be amazed as mothers and their pups emerge at dusk to feed on mosquitoes. Last summer we counted 2,600 bats in our belfry! Families are welcome. No pets please. Doors open at 8:00 pm. Tickets by reservation or at the door. ($5/person, $20/group (up to 6 people) Cancelled if raining. Please check our website.

The Kilby Historic Site prides itself in portraying the living history of the Kilby family, general store, and farm. The grounds surrounding the general store are approximately 3 hectares which we have preserved as the working farm it once was, the Waterloo Farm Museum. Today, we annually stock the farm with a wonderful variety of animals. Visitors of all ages can interact with and feed the animals on the farm while they are learning about rural farm life.  https://kilby.ca/

Visitors will view a fascinating gallery of product packaging dating back to the 1920s and 1930s. Don’t miss the intriguing artifacts in the heritage Post Office and Manchester House Hotel; both were an integral part of the Harrison Mills community at the turn of the twentieth century.
