Season of the Wild- Earthwise Society Open House

To celebrate the Season of the Wild, Earthwise Society will be welcoming visitors to learn more about local freshwater ecosystems and what we can do to  help conserve these valuable resources. The event will begin at 11 am with a demonstration of aquatic species monitoring, led by Aquatic Ecosystems Biologist, Dr. Mike Pearson. Participants will learn about aquatic habitats and identify key local species that depend upon these environments for their survival.  Guests will also have the opportunity to join guided tours to get a first-hand look at the important habitat restoration work that has been completed at Earthwise Agassiz. The event includes a Soup Bar, featuring a selection of hot soups made by local chefs using freshly harvested organic produce from the Earthwise Farm. This is a fundraiser in support of Earthwise Society’s ongoing freshwater habitat and conservation work.
