Together in the Wild: Find Your Community

Come as you are, be yourself, and find your community in the Harrison River Valley.

Feeling fully supported, safe, and welcome when you travel makes an experience uplifting, relaxing, and memorable; something everyone deserves. Located an hour and a half from Vancouver, the Harrison River Valley is made up of the small communities of Harrison Mills, Harrison Hot Springs, and Agassiz. Although small in population, our hearts are big and our arms are wide open in welcoming everyone and creating a supportive, inclusive, and safe environment for all.

Being that June is marked as Pride Month, we note it is much more than just a month-long celebration; it is an opportunity to help open hearts and minds to the stories of those in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community internationally. And not just for the month of June, but every day, we can choose to spread the movement of equality, acceptance, and love.

We believe in the freedom to express ourselves, individuality, equal rights, and acceptance. Like most small towns, many move to the Agassiz-Harrison area for the lifestyle – to hike the forest, bike the countryside, and paddle the waters. But, mainly, to just…’be’, to live authentically, without discrimination or fear.

This is a land that celebrates the interrelatedness of all living things and the strong diversity of people.

The resonating message is simply to “come be you”. Find your community in the Harrison River Valley!
